How to setup a raspcontrol web control centre for your Raspberry pi

Raspcontrol is a small PHP application for providing a simple web interface for displaying information about Raspberry Pi.

How to install

1) How to change Raspberry pi default password

2) How to setup a webserver with PHP on Raspberry Pi

3) Adding Mysql to your Raspberry Pi webserver

4) You now need to install the git software on your raspberry pi with the following command

sudo apt-get install git

5) You may also have to update the PHP you installed eariler on your raspberry pi with the following command

sudo apt-get install php5-cli

6) Download the raspcontrol software on to your raspberry pi with the following command

git clone https://github.com/bioshox/raspcontrol.git

7) Navigate to the raspcontrol folder on your raspberry pi

8) Run the following command to allow ./setup.sh file to run with the folder

sudo chmod 0777 ./start.sh

9) Run nano on ./setup.sh to edit the file and change the port that raspcontrol uses as if you have followed the guides the php install screen is on port 80

nano ./start.sh


c#! /bin/sh

PORT=80 (change this to another port ie 8080)

PHP=$(which php)

if [ $? != 0 ] ; then
echo “Unable to find PHP”
exit 1


10) Move the raspcontrol folder to the following location /var/www

sudo mv raspcontrol /var/www

11) run the raspcontrol software with the following command


12) Go to the webinterface from another pc using the IP address on the raspberrypi and the port number you selected in the ./start.sh screen

13) If all has gone well you see the following screen, You will need to create a user name and password to proceed

14) login with the account you created in step13 and you will see the following screen
