WinRoboCopy a handy GUI front end for RoboCopy

RoboCopy is a command line file copy utility for Windows but unfortunately can only be used via a command-line.

Which means that some’s times you can make a mistake with what switch to use or have to remember which switch to use.

Well the guys over at UpWay2Late.com have created a soultion to this problem in the program called WinRoboCopy which gives all the power of robocopy in a  handy GUI front end.

WinRoboCopy can be downloaded here

Some advantages of using WinRoboCopy are

Most of the switches are displayed and there functions displayed so you no longer have to work out what switch does what.

A progress bar area that shows the current directory and file being copied. The progress bars display the current progress percentage for each item.

The command section which shows the current RoboCopy command that you would use in a standard command-line.

And a  log/output area that shows the RoboCopy output.

In conclusion

This is a handy bit of software that takes the strain out of using robocopy by not having to remember every single switch combination that can be used and makes file copying / transfer  a lot easier on the overworked IT person.
